Classical guitarist Miloš Karadaglić has signed an exclusive long-term partnership with Sony Classical. His first album with the label will be released in early 2023.

Having started playing the guitar at the age of eight in his home country of Montenegro, Karadaglić (better known by his first name, Miloš) moved to London at the age of 16 to attend the Royal Academy of Music. After graduation, he began his career as a soloist, which took off in 2010 Miloš’s when he signed a recording contract Deutsche Grammophon, with albums released in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2016.

Per Hauber, president of Sony Classical, said: ‘I have been following Miloš’ outstanding career over the last decade very closely and admired his artistry every time I heard him perform live or on record… This new, exciting partnership is about broadening his worldwide fanbase with Sony Classical’s unique global set up.’

Miloš’ international career places him at the forefront of the classical guitar revival, and his six studio albums have earned him titles including Gramophone Young Artist of the Year and Echo Klassik Newcomer of the Year, as well as Classic BRIT MasterCard Breakthrough Artist of the Year.

With the aim of expanding the repertoire of his instrument, Miloš has commissioned several new works for the guitar. About this new partnership, he said: ‘The legacy of this label, especially when it comes to the classical guitar is second to none. Breaking boundaries and creating new ground for the instrument remains in the forefront of my mission.’
