LIVE from London Festival announced for Christmas 2021

Founded during lockdown by the VOCES8 Foundation, the fifth installment of the LIVE from London Festival will take place over Christmas 2021.

The VOCES8 Foundation is to deliver its fifth online festival, to be broadcast during the festive season. Founded in 2020 during lockdown, the LIVE from London festival will return from 4 December 2021 to 6 January 2022, broadcasting 13 concerts.

The festival will cover a broad spectrum of modern and contemporary pieces as well as traditional choral Christmas music and will be led by vocal ensemble VOCES8. They will be joined by the King’s Singers, I Fagiolini, Gabrieli Consort & Players, Stile Antico, Apollo5, soprano Mary Bevan, countertenor Tim Mead, violinists Jack Liebeck and Rachel Podger, actors Richard Leaf and Tamsin Greig, and, from the US, The Crossing and St Olaf College.

Each concert is filmed in the presence of an audience at churches across London; VOCES8’s base, St. Anne and St. Agnes Church, St Martin-in-the-Fields and St Jude-on-the-Hill.

The festival will also feature young performers from across the world: London Youth Choir, National Youth Choir of Great Britain, iSing, Barnsley Youth Choir, Dr Anthony Trecek-King with Hartt Voices, VOCES8 US Scholars and Gabrieli Roar.

Single concert tickets throughout the whole festival are available for £12.50. Season Tickets covering the first nine concerts will be £80 with a LIVE From London – Christmas 2021 Extra ticket granting access to all 13 concerts for £115.

The concerts will be available on-demand until January 15.
