Meyer was a highly respected and well-known personality in music management

Her long career spanned more than 40 years, the majority of them at HarrisonParrott. She worked in several areas of the business including servicing, concert management and orchestral touring and skillfully shepherded many of the world’s most eminent musicians and orchestras around the globe. Her multi-linguistic skills were a valuable asset, along with her exacting professional standards, sincerity and kindness.
Born in Bonn to a German father and Finnish mother, she spent her childhood and formative years in Venezuela and then the United States. Following her studies at Reading University she decided to remain in the UK and became a British citizen.
After almost 30 years at HarrisonParrott she continued to work as a freelance tour manager and was engaged by several other management companies, including Intermusica and Van Walsum (now Maestro Arts) among others, until her retirement.
She bore her diagnosis of pancreatic cancer in the summer with great fortitude and dignity and spent her last months at home in the company of friends, neighbours and close family before dying peacefully in her sleep.
