Visa-free short-term touring allowed in 19 member states

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport has announced that UK musicians and performers do not need visas or work permits for short-term tours in 19 EU countries

A total of 19 EU member states have confirmed that UK musicians and performers do not need visas or work permits for short-term tours.

These countries are:

  • Austria
  • Belgium
  • Czech Republic
  • Denmark
  • Estonia
  • Finland
  • France
  • Germany
  • Hungary
  • Ireland
  • Italy
  • Latvia
  • Lithuania
  • Luxembourg
  • Netherlands
  • Poland
  • Slovakia
  • Slovenia
  • Sweden

DCMS says that it is now asking remaining member states to align their arrangements with the countries listed above. 'Formal approaches via officials and DCMS Ministers have been made to Spain, Croatia, Greece, Portugal, Bulgaria, Romania, Malta and Cyprus,' DCMS said in a statement.
