The shortlist includes four South Koreans and two Russians plus competitors from the US, France, Japan, China, Belarus and Ukraine.

Each pianist will perform twice in the seminfinals, presenting a 60-minute solo recital plus a Mozart concerto with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra conducted by Nicholas McGegan.

Six competitors will be selected to advance to the finals at Bass Performance Hall on 14 to 18 June.

Audience members are invited to cast votes for their favourite competitor to receive the Carla and Kelly Thompson Audience Award presented by Medici.tv. Voting closes on 18 June at 18:10 CT.
